报告摘要:

Evolutionary game theory has become a general approach for studying a wide range of biological and social problems. In particular, it has proved useful in understanding human strategic behavior in social dilemma situations where people can cooperate for the common goods. Notably, the tragedy of the commons can also arise as a result of free-riding in the important context of public health problems, such as vaccine compliance and antibiotics overuse. Understanding them through the lens of evolutionary game theory is a new promising direction. In this talk, I will present some recent work on vaccine compliance and antibiotics overuse by using evolutionary game theory.



报告人简介:

陈星如,美国达特茅斯学院数学系博士,本科毕业于北京大学。近年来主要从事博弈模型的建立、演化博弈论在公共健康和社交网络等领域的应用、大数据分析(百万量级)、机器学习技术在数据科学中的应用等方面的研究工作。在英国皇家学会会刊(Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences), New Journal of PhysicsFrontiers in Physics等领域内知名的国际学术期刊上发表多篇研究论文,其研究成果被Science DailyNewsweek等十余家国际主流媒体报道,并多次接受Podcast采访。多次受邀在SIAMAMSJMM等国际会议中作邀请报告。目前还担任PNASJournal of Theoretical BiologyPLOS ONEScientific Reports等国际学术期刊的审稿人。
